Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application provided by WestData VPN (the 'App', 'Service', or 'we') collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information. We operate the service with necessity, transparency, and security as guiding principles.

When you download and launch the App, we may collect necessary operational data, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app access paths, crash information, and session duration. To provide more accurate routing recommendations, the App may process approximate device location information. This information is used for: 1. Node recommendations: matching connection options based on WestData VPN's node distribution; 2. Performance optimization: identifying regional connection issues through anonymized aggregate data; 3. Service communication: sending important service updates, security notices, or account-related messages via your reserved email or username. Sensitive information is handled under the compliance requirements described in this policy.

We only transmit aggregated anonymized data to necessary third-party partners (such as Google Play Services, Firebase, etc.) for crash analysis, performance monitoring, and feature improvement. Except in the following cases, we do not share your personal information with third parties: 1. Compliance with legal procedures or mandatory government requirements; 2. Necessity to protect user life or property or investigate fraud; 3. Cooperation with entrusted service providers under strict confidentiality agreements. If you wish to stop data collection, remove the App through your device's standard uninstall process. After uninstallation, the App will no longer generate new data collection activity.

User-provided data will be retained during the service period and for a reasonable grace period afterward. If you need to cancel your account and delete your personal profile, please contact our privacy team via [email protected]. The App is not intended for minors under 13. We do not knowingly solicit data from that group; if such information is collected by mistake, we will initiate deletion procedures. Guardians may contact us through the email above so that we can take appropriate action. To protect confidentiality, we use physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time due to regulatory requirements, product changes, or business adjustments. You are advised to review this page regularly. Continued use after changes are published will be deemed acceptance of the revised terms. This policy officially takes effect as of October 4, 2025. If you have questions or suggestions about our privacy practices, you may contact the WestData VPN team at [email protected].
